Beautiful, baby, just beautiful

Boo and The Bug have a photo shoot tomorrow. My friend Timna (hi, Timna!) gave me the name of a woman at Family Fun magazine who picks the kids they use in the magazine and they liked my kids. I thought they were cute, but it’s nice to have a third party agree with me.

So tomorrow, they’ll be getting all dolled up in their holiday best and having their pictures done. I can’t wait to see what this will be like – a two-year-old and a 10-month-old in their best bib and tucker, having strange people take their pictures. It will either be fantastic or an unmitigated disaster, full of tears and drama.

They best bit is that they’ll be getting paid. Well, I’ll be getting paid for them. It’s only $100, but $100 is $100.

And in the Too Much Information department, does anyone know if laxatives get passed thru breast milk? My anti-depressant dosage was increased recently and, well, the pipes are more than a little blocked.

I can’t believe I’m discussing my plumbing on the internet…have I no shame? Apparently not.

Uh oh, you’re not going to become a stage parent now are you? I hope it all goes well.

I have no idea on the laxative thing, but I think it’s really cool that your kids are getting photographed for the magazine 😉

How cool! (not the clogged plumbimg, but the girls being in a magazine)You’ll have to let us know when the issue comes out. And, an extra $100 sounds like heaven to me right now.

That’s awesome! I can’t wait to see the pictures. And as I recall, yes laxatives do get passed through breast milk….but very very little does get through. Keep an eagle eye out for soft poops.

Who needs shame? This is the gosh-darn internet. Peddle those babies and your blockage to your heart’s content.

The Physician Assistant in this household thinks that it is unlikely, but he isn’t 100%. Have you tried looking it up on the mighty google?

Which laxatives? The common mineral oil stays in the intestine. Stuff like milk of magnesia also stays there (it works by attracting water osmotically). Intestinal irritants generally also have a purely local effect. If you still are worried, how about a triple-H enema? (“High, Hot, and a Hell of a lot!”)Cheers,Felix.

Felix – ugh, no thanks, I’ll try the other suggestions first. Lara – I’m afraid I’m not up on that particular type of etiquette either. I’m sort of FINE with that, too. Msprufrock – Hah. Um, no, no worries on that particular front.
